We work hard to make T’Challaween accessible for families of all abilities, including ADA-friendly community trick-or-treat routes and signage. If you have accessibility needs, you can email us ahead of time at T.Challaween@seattleemerald.org to discuss.

Accessible parking spots are available at Jefferson Community Center for the Family Fun Fest. For trick-or-treating, let us know if you need to have accessible parking and we will do our best. It is a residential neighborhood, so we can't guarantee it but we are very happy to try.

Yes. Restrooms are available at Jefferson Park, and Jefferson Park Community Center will have food and drinks. There are open areas for picnics and rest breaks.

The community trick-or-treat and festival happen rain or shine! Bring rain gear just in case—costumes look great with umbrellas, too.

Costumes are encouraged and creativity is celebrated! We ask that all costumes be family-friendly and respectful. Please avoid overly scary themes, realistic weapons, or culturally insensitive attire.

Parents, guardians, and neighbors are invited to join in the fun. We just ask that adults keep face coverings or masks off while interacting with children for safety and visibility.

Limited parking is available near Jefferson Park and along Beacon Ave S. We recommend carpooling, biking, or taking public transit if possible. Accessible parking spots are available at Jefferson Community Center and if you want to start on college let us know if you need to have accessible parking and we will do our best. No. T’Challaween is a family event, and children must be accompanied by an adult throughout.

Yes. If you lose an item, or get separated from your group, visit the South Seattle Emerald tent at Feed the People Plaza (Hanford St. & Beacon Ave. S.) for assistance.

If you or someone around you is experiencing a medical emergency please dial 9-1-1 and have someone else locate the closest volunteer.

If it is not a medical emergency, visit the South Seattle Emerald tent at Feed the People Plaza (Hanford St. & Beacon Ave. S.) or the Jefferson Community Center for assistance with things a simple first aide kit can handle.

We can not hold medication and do not have refrigeration available.

Friendly, leashed pets are welcome outdoors, but not inside the Community Center. Please make sure your furry friends are comfortable in crowds and loud environments. You are responsible for your pets waste. Please do not use the neighborhood or event trash cans. We may ask you to leave if your pet is disruptive to the event.

Yes. By attending T’Challaween, you may appear in event photos or media shared by the South Seattle Emerald or community partners. We capture these moments to celebrate our neighborhood and the joy of the day. Please let the photographers know if you do not wish to appear in photos and videos and they will do their best to shoot around you and your family.
