

T’Challaween code of conduct
T’Challaween is a free, family-friendly, community-powered event hosted by the South Seattle Emerald. To ensure a safe, joyful, and inclusive experience for all, we ask every participant, families, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and staff, to follow this Code of Conduct.
Be Kind
T’Challaween is for everyone, so use kind words and friendly actions.
Center Kids & Families
Costumes, language, and behavior should be appropriate for children and families.
Stay Safe on the Route
Stick with your grown-ups, follow volunteers’ directions, and keep the street clear for marching.
Show Gratitude for the Neighborhood
Please treat neighbors, their property, and public spaces with care.
R-E-S-E-P-E-C-T
Be mindful of personal space and health needs, follow safety directions, and look out for one another.
Be a Hero
Look out for everyone's kids and pets, be patient, and help make the day fun for everyone!
Zero Tolerance
Violence or Substance Use Weapons and alcohol or drug use are not permitted.

Keep the route clear for marching families and performers.

Dispose of trash and recycling in designated bins.

Supervise children and help maintain a safe environment for everyone.

Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness unsafe, harmful, or disrespectful behavior, please alert an event volunteer or staff member immediately.
